Job Description:
A company is looking for a Utilization Review Clinician -
Behavioral Health.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate treatment for mental health and substance abuse to ensure
medical appropriateness
Perform prior authorization and concurrent reviews related to
behavioral health services
Educate providers, members, and families regarding behavioral
health utilization processes
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing school or a Bachelor's degree
with 2-4 years of related experience
Master's degree for behavioral health clinicians required
Licensure as LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LMHP, or RN required
Clinical knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment
plans preferred
Experience in utilization review processes related to behavioral
health preferred
