Your role will be instrumental in guiding financial strategy and decision-making, specifically related to developing, launching, and ongoing support of our cutting-edge products. You will leverage your expertise to navigate the nuances of product lifecycle management, drive financial planning and analysis processes, and support the Products department to optimize resource allocation and investment in innovation. Your experience working within SaaS companies will be essential as you help scale OPSWAT's offerings and contribute to our mission of protecting the world's critical infrastructure.The ideal candidate will be based in San Francisco and able to work from our office located at 398 Kansas St., near downtown San Francisco.What You Will Be Doing

  • Partner closely with the Product teams to develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic product initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product leaders to understand and analyze financial impacts related to product development, launches, and ongoing support.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast, particularly focusing on product-related expenditures, R&D investments, and revenue projections.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including trend analysis and KPIs, to inform strategic discussions and decision-making within the Product organization.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Chief Product Officer, VP of Products, and other key stakeholders, providing actionable insights to drive product strategy.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support product-related reporting, scenario planning, and business decision-making.
  • Assist in the implementation and scaling of financial planning tools (such as Adaptive Planning) to improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within product development.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis, presentations, and special projects as needed, particularly those that impact product strategy and financial outcomes.What We Need from You
    • Proven experience (5-7 years) in FP&A or similar roles, with a strong focus on supporting Product and R&D teams in SaaS or technology companies.
    • Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI skills, with the ability to create and maintain complex financial models.
    • Confident user of Adaptive Insights.
    • Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of product lifecycle financial management, including new product launches and support for existing offerings.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work as a business partner to engineering and product teams.
    • A proactive, service-oriented approach, with a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to drive financial strategy within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on location as outlined below, as well as the knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate.
