Salary: $70k - $85k base + bonus
Established Bay Area based consumer manufacturing company seeks a Tax Staff Accountant to assist the corporate direct tax team with monthly reconciliations of income tax accounts, organization of tax forms and extracting reports for tax analysis with an eye towards automation in Excel. This role will also maintain the tax books for fixed assets and assist with researching the tax treatment of fixed assets, as well as pulling up tax forms, reading instructions and doing some tax research. The compliance function is co-sourced with an external 3rd party and this role will have the opportunity to be involved with special projects to streamline and automate the process. This role will be working onsite 3 days per week.
Requirements:

• 
  
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.
  
• 2-4 years general accounting experience with a strong interest in working in a corporate tax department.
  
• Fixed Assets experience a plus.
  
• Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, V & X-Lookups, Sum Ifs, etc.)
  
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
